Delete your data

Last updated 21 September 2026

You can have your YouAndHost account and the information attached to it deleted. This page says how, and exactly what happens.

How to ask

Write to support@youandhost.com from the email address on your account, with the words “delete my account”. We will confirm it is you, delete the account, and write back when it is done. We aim to do this within thirty days.

If you signed in with Facebook, Google or Apple, say so in the message. Removing our app in their settings stops us seeing anything new about you, but it does not delete what we already hold, so please still write to us.

First, these have to be finished

  • No stay of yours is upcoming, as a guest or as a host. Let it finish, or cancel it.
  • No listing of yours is live. Take it offline first.
  • If someone else owns the same organisation with you, hand it over or ask them to remove you.

These exist so that nobody is left mid-booking with no way to reach the other side.

What deletion does

  • Your name is replaced, and your email address and phone number are removed from your account.
  • Your sign-in stops working, including through Facebook, Google and Apple.
  • Push notifications to your devices are switched off.
  • Any organisation you own is closed and its listings are archived, so they no longer appear anywhere.

What stays

Bookings, payments and payouts that already happened are kept as financial records, because tax and accounting rules require it. They no longer carry your contact details. The audit log keeps a record that the account was deleted. Nothing kept identifies you to other guests or hosts.
